When I made this painting, I had no idea it would be my most controversial image but leave it to Seattle to get right offended at anything. I had this painting hanging as part of a show and apparently a couple of people came into the shop and were upset but didn't really understand if they should be upset. They voiced frustrations and then started asking about the meaning. I'm still not sure if they were upset because they thought it was pro-Obama or anti-Obama. 

I'll say definitely that the meaning behind this is that thought it would be funny to show Obama out of context and I love Black Metal album art.
