My second shot at ET and boy is that wrinkly little guy fun to paint. ET and guitars and ET and Tobacco. That dude knows how to party! One of the most abstract Thangs I received in the early days was the color purple and I was really happy with how it came out in this one. This painting has my favorite color play with the little bits of orange and blue along with the purple and yellow. Complimentary colors can be kind of obvious but if you use specific shades of colors, you can bring out some really fun details. It was also very enjoyable to mix the clean pop art style with a little bit of the painterly style of my past.
